VETERAN RECOGNITION: Honoring Those Who Have Served Us: Bethel is creating a photo tribute to honor those who have served our country. We invite you to submit photos of family members who are currently serving or have previously served in the military, along with their name, rank, and branch of service, by November 2nd. Email digital photos to Pastor Dan at pastordan@bethelhome.church , drop them off at the church office, or give Pastor Dan a printed photo to scan and return to you. Daily Living Series: The Daily Living Series is a collection of practical, one-session seminars designed for teens, college students, and young to middle-aged adults who want to build confidence and gain helpful skills for everyday life. All seminars meet from 10:45am–12:00pm in the Bethel Library. Childcare will be available, and all sessions are free of charge.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Did you know you have a chance to answer a prayer with a shoebox? Operation Christmas Child is bringing shoebox gifts and the Good News of Jesus Christ to some of the most remote corners around the world and you can help. Bethel will be participating in collecting shoeboxes filled with items a child will love. Boxes and more information may be picked up in the Narthex. Suggested items are: soccer ball with pump, doll, stuffed animals, shoes, toy cars, jump ropes, toothbrushes, washcloths, combs, hairbrushes, pens, pencils, crayons, paper, coloring books, solar calculators, socks sunglasses, jewelry and watches, flashlights with extra batteries. Boxes must be returned no later than Sunday, November 15th. Last year we collected 83 boxes, our goal this year is 100 boxes. Bethel will be donating $1000 to cover the cost of the boxes, so no need to enclose a check unless you want to give extra.
🍂 BETHEL FALL CLEAN-UP DAY 🍂 Help us get Bethel looking its best this fall! Join us on Saturday, November 14th, from 8:00am to 12:00noon as we work together to make our church clean, tidy, and welcoming for all. Please bring your own work gloves, rakes, shovels, and indoor cleaning supplies. Some of the tasks will include raking leaves, dusting windowsills, cleaning glass, picking up trash, and other fall cleaning projects. ☕ Coffee and donuts will be provided to keep everyone energized! THANKSGIVING WORSHIP: Join us for Thanksgiving worship on Wednesday, November 25th, followed by a delightful Pie Social! If you would like to share a pie, please bring it with you that evening and place it on the cart in the Narthex. After worship, everyone is invited to stay, enjoy a slice (or two!), and share in fellowship as we give thanks together. We look forward to celebrating this season of gratitude with you! BETHEL BOOK REVIEW GROUP: We will be meeting on Thursday, November 19th in the Library. The book for November is “The Brilliant Life” by Rachelle Ureich.
BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP: This is a city-wide women’s bible class that meets here at Bethel at 6:30pm on Monday nights at 6:30pm. We are studying “Romans: From Guilt to Grace”. You can go to bsfinternational.org to join a class.
BREW CREW: We will be meeting on Monday, November 9th at 6:00pm at The Brit Pub on 645 S Sierra Madre Street, Suite 100, 80903. Please RSVP to Allen Currier.

COMFORT MAKERS: Join Bethel’s Quilting Group which meets on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Tuesdays; 9:00am – Noon; Christ Center. Throughout the year, we create beautiful quilts to donate to Lutheran World Relief, bringing warmth, comfort, and God’s love to people around the world. Interested in joining us? GIFTS FROM THE HEART: is a wonderful opportunity to bless others through thoughtful gifts and acts of kindness. Throughout the year, we prepare and donate: special baby gifts for newborns at Bethel; recycled stuffed animals for foster children; three different types of gift bags for people experiencing homelessness; meals for shut-ins and families going through difficult times; household essentials for displaced veterans, etc. If you’d like to get involved or have questions, please contact Linda Thede.

STITCHED WITH LOVE: Grab your yarn, needles, or crochet hook and join us as we create handmade gifts for those in need. Throughout the year, we donate our handmade creations to Cases of Love, Life Network, and others in our community. Your time and talents can bring God’s care to someone who needs it. COFFEE MACHINE NEEDED: If you would like to donate a Keurig coffee machine to the front office, it would be greatly appreciated, the current one is on the fritz. Not only does it keep the Administrator peppy, but we serve coffee to visitors who come in meeting with pastors. MERCY’S GATE HOLIDAY MEAL BASKETS: What an incredible response! All grocery bags and gift card envelopes have been claimed! Thank you to everyone who has committed to helping provide holiday meals for our neighbors. Now comes the important part! If you picked up a grocery bag or gift card envelope, please return it with your donation by November 8th. Up and Adam Men's Bible Study will be busy sorting food and assembling baskets in preparation for distribution on November 14th. If you are interested in volunteering, there are several ways to help with this seasonal ministry: contacting our neighbors with a friendly reminder, distributing meal baskets, serving a continental breakfast, or welcoming our neighbors on distribution day. BOOK REVIEW GROUP: We will be meeting on Thursday, June 18th at 1:00pm in the Library. The book for June is “Once There Were Wolves” by Conago.
COMFORT MAKERS: Bethel’s quilting group meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday of each month from 9:00am – noon in the Christ Center. Throughout the year they create quilts to donate to Lutheran World Relief, and the quilts are used around the world for those who are in need. If you can tie knots and enjoy sewing, join us by calling Gisela Petersen.
CONNECTIONS GROUP: This group will NOT be meeting for the summer, watch the Bethel Blessings when they will restart up in the Fall.

STITCHED WITH LOVE: This ministry provides an opportunity for you to make and donate crocheted or knitted items for infants and children. We also make a variety of handmade items throughout the year for donation to foster children through Cases of Love, infants through Life Network, winter scarves for the homeless, etc. Please feel free to reach out to Linda Thede if you are interested in participating or have questions.
